Extol is an Engineering and Innovation company committed to improving plastic products and providing high value applications to our customers while striving to make a difference in the community. In the 6 years I have been with Extol, I have witnessed this in many different roles from custom machine design to innovation to additive manufacturing. Extol is a strong believer in community involvement, which they promote by providing opportunities for employees to give back. I have enjoyed working on several Habitat for Humanity builds and other employees have spent time in their chosen organization of outreach.

Extol took a leap and entered the additive space last year with the purchase of (3) HP MJF 5210 printers. This journey started several years ago with desktop printers as we learned firsthand how additive can completely shift the innovation process while providing a new viable manufacturing method for end use products. Our goal is to take our customers on this journey and provide parts from prototyping to production. With the additive capability in our Digital Development Center, we are able to provide parts printed in PA12, TPU, and PP.  In these uncertain times Extol has put our commitment to serve the local community to action. Through our innovation process and additive capabilities, we have worked through the challenges required to provide our customers with necessary 3D printed parts. The following are some examples of the projects we have engaged in:

·         SCBA Mask Adapters – Over 400 mask adapters (produced to date) designed by Extol in partnership with local firefighters for Emergency Responders

·         Ford Respirator Parts – Prototype and Production (28,000+ PP Parts in 3 weeks)

·         Non-Invasive Ventilator Hoods – Designed by Extol and shipped worldwide; Prototype and Production Parts in HP PA12 and finished with AMT Vapor Polish

·         Face Shields – 200 traditionally manufactured face shields to local hospital and currently in the process of fulfilling a need of 11,000 face shields designed by Avid Product Development and printed with HP MJF PA12

·         Mask “Ear Savers” – Provided to local medical professionals to make wearing masks more comfortable

I am honored to be part of a dedicated team committed to supplying our customers high quality additively manufactured parts and I am confident that we are ready for whatever challenge is thrown our way. Please reach out if you have questions or would like to connect on how Extol’s Digital Development Center can help you on your next project. https://www.extolinc.com/services/ddc/
